Kalaiyarasan And Dhanshika’s Next Is A Psychological Thriller

Holla fans! Kalaiyarasan and Sai Dhanshika are coming together for a film. They will be seen playing a married couple in a forthcoming psychological thriller, Uru, helmed by fashion designer turned director Vicky Anand. The director, who is a big fan of Quentin Tarantino, revealed that when he decided to don director’s hat, he learnt filmmaking by watching films rather than going to an institute.

Talking about how he entered the film industry, the director says, "I saw films for a year and wrote a script titled Oosi Pattasu. After that, I worked as an assistant for the upcoming film, Kaathaadi, which stars Dhanshika, and that's how I came to know her. Similarly, I was friends with the team of Urumeen, and got to know Kalaiyarasan through them." Uru, which is a psycho thriller film, is produced by V.P. Viji.

Talking about the film, the director reveals, Kalai plays a once-renowned novelist and Dhanshika plays his wife, who is a working woman. To become a best-selling author again, Kalai goes to a hill station for a month and writes a thriller. However, the film revolves around the characters whom Kalai comes across and the danger the city welcomes and how his approach towards dealing with the jeopardy puts not only him at risk but also puts others at risk.
