A trip to Hollywood acted as a huge realisation for debutant director R. S. Prasanna. He journeyed to Hollywood as a part of supervision of sound mixing in his upcoming rom-com Kalyana Samayal Saadham.

He has realised, "Cinema is an audio visual experience. Ours is feel good comedy, alright, but sound plays a huge role in immersing the audience into the world of the story.” He had been to Hollywood along with his KSS team for the final sound mixing at Warner Bros’ studio in Los Angeles. KSS is based on south Indian wedding’s modern version, starring Prasanna Venkatesan, Lekha Washington and Delhi Ganesh.

The director added, "Especially in new age comedies, and some of the best from world cinema, sound elements like room tone and ambiance plays a pivotal part adding to the comic atmosphere. A loud, creaky fan that punctuates an awkward silence between characters can by itself become a comic gig.” Kunal Rajan of Vishwaroopam fame has worked as a sound designer in KSS. He has also worked in Hollywood films like Blades of Glory and Spiderwick Chronicles. Other technicians from Hollywood also cooperated in the project like Tom Marx from Man of Steel and legendary Bruce Nyznik from Sin City and Space Jam.
