    Kamal Haasan affirms to continue with his guru’s legacy


    After unveiling the first look of his upcoming film ‘Thoonga Vanam’, veteran actor Kamal Haasan affirms to carry forward his late guru K. Balachander’s legacy. He said whatever he has learnt about films and writing is all from his guru. The Dasavathaaram star also said that they had worked together in 37 films and ‘Uttama Villian’ was their last film.


    During a press conference in Hyderabad, the actor also expressed that the last time he visited the city with a desire to work in a Telugu film but no movie was offered to him. He also praised Prakash Raj for encouraging him to work in both Tamil and Telugu films and said, “Both of us share a good rapport and we are from the same K Balachander's school. Now that our guru has passed away, I promised Prakash that I'll be like his elder brother".


    It seems like the movie is going to be an action thriller. The female lead is played by Trisha, and Kishore and Prakash Raj are also playing crucial roles. The film is directed by Rajesh M. Selva and will be released in both Tamil and Telugu.
