Kamal Haasan Eager To Remake Vinod Khanna’s Achanak

Veteran star Kamal Haasan has expressed his desire to remake Vinod Khanna’s Bollywood classical Achanak. This Gulzar’s 1973 hit featured Vinod Khanna as a soldier, and was admired by everyone. In the flick, the actor kills his cheating wife played by Lily Chakravarty. Like most of the celebrities, Kamal was shocked to hear the news of Vinod’s demise and offered his condolences. 

“Achanak is a film that changed my life. When I saw it at 18 for the first time, I was encouraged to become a director. This man didn’t know it at that time. But Vinod Khanna was a precursor to Stallone’s First Blood”, said Kamal.

He added, “It’s the story of a betrayed commando who goes on a rampage. Sylvester Stallone did it many years ago. Now, I want to see where I can take this character”. Kamal Haasan is presently busy with his home project Sabaash Naidu.
