Kamal Haasan to inaugurate 6th annual Bengaluru International Film Festival

Superstar Kamal Haasan will be reportedly attending the inaugural event of the 6th annual Bengaluru International Film Festival which will be held on December 26. The prestigious film fest will continue for eight days and 152 films from 45 countries will participate at the gala festival.

The event has been organised by Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy in cooperation with Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, representing Government of Karnataka. Films by renowned directors like Andrzej Wajda, Asghar Farhadi, Istvan Szabo, Francois Ozon, Susan Blier, Goran Paskaljevic, Mike Leigh, Claire Denis and Thomas Vinterberg will be screened at the event. Fourteen films among 152 have been selected from the 86th Academy Award for Best Foreign Language film (Oscar) category’s main entries. Asian films from China, Korea, Japan, Kazakhstan, Phillippines, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Indonesia will be the main focus at the film festival.
