Kamal Haasan Laments Over Elder Brother Chandrahasan’s Demise

Mourning bells are tolling in London as actor Kamal Haasan's elder brother Chandrahasan is no more. Chandrahasan breathed his last at his daughter Anu Hasan's residence in London on Saturday night following a massive cardiac arrest. The demise of the 82-year-old was confirmed by Kamal Haasan’s reps’.

Grieving over his brother’s death, Kamal said, “Fate, if that’s what you call it, is certainly giving me a lot of attention.”“He was on the way back from the US, where he had been after the death of his wife. For a change of environment, he has been with his son for a few months. He was on his way back and had stopped over at London to be with his daughter for a short break from the long journey when he suffered a heart attack,” he added.

Chandrahasan has 22 Tamil and Telugu films in his credit. He was the administrator and a partner in Kamal's production banner Raj Kamal Films International. He played a pivotal role in holding talks with Muslim groups in the run up to the release of Kamal's film Vishwaroopam in 2013.
