Kamal Haasan Praises Student Protesters, Asks Actors To Stay Away

Veteran actor Kamal Haasan has thrown his weight behind young students who are peacefully protesting against People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and the ban on Jallikattu. The Ulaganayagan called them the real heroes and supported their move as they fight for their ‘rights’. Earlier, Kamal Haasan has made his stand clear on Jallikattu ban.  

Moreover, the Vishwaroopam actor advised fellow actors to not participate in students ahimsa protest as it will take away the limelight from them. As Kamal called the students heroes, he added that the stars presence at these protests will jeopardise their efforts and will make the event ‘comic’. Kamal indicated that celebs will take away the limelight from the students and would dent their cause.

Kamal in an emotional statement called those protesting as his brothers and sisters with potential to be politicians of tomorrow. He strongly said that the students are carrying these protests peacefully and no one has the right to stop them.
