    Kamal Haasan Takes Over ‘Sabaash Naidu’

    A couple of days back it was reported that T. K. Rajeev Kumar, director of Kamal Haasan’s next ‘Sabaash Naidu’, has fallen ill and has been admitted in a hospital in Los Angeles. The unfortunate turn of events forced the actor to don the director’s hat and he helmed the dance sequence. It was being said that Rajeev Kumar would recover soon and will be back, but now reports suggest that Kamal Haasan will be directing the film.

    The Thoonga Vanam actor said that the director has been diagnosed with Lyme disease and that is why now he will be helming the trilingual. He said, "My director, Rajeev has taken extremely ill. The unfortunate setback occurred when we were on the fourth day of our recce in Los Angeles. He has been diagnosed with a Lyme disease. It is a rare infection prevalent in Europe and North America. This is the reason why I am now directing the film".

    He added that the team of the flick plans to wrap up the film by July end or August first week. Reportedly, the actor is also visiting the hospital regularly. Ilaiyaraaja is coring the music for the film which also features Shruti Haasan and Ramya Krishnan.
