Kamal Hassan Voices Concern Over Flood Threat In Chennai

Kamal Hassan Voices Concern Over Flood Threat In Chennai

Yet again, Kamal Hassan raises his voice to save humanity from ultimate destruction. On Friday, the legendary actor voiced his concern about the environmental dangers of dumping ash waste by power plants in river Kosasthalaiyar. He further warned of the risk of flooding that North Chennai is precariously exposed to. In a series of tweets, he voiced his concern about the continuous harm that humans are causing to the environment.

This isn’t the first time that Hassan has taken a stand for the environment and its protection. He cited that more than 10 lakh people are at a risk in case floods broke out in North Chennai. He has repeatedly warned the government about the dangers we are surrounded by, but to no avail.

Moreover, the actor has also alleged that Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum have built their facilities in the river area, thereby encroaching upon it. Hopefully, for once, the government will listen to his warnings and take due course to minimise the danger that environmental degradation has posed on humanity. Hats off to Hassan!
