Kanithan Telugu And Hindi Remake In Talks

Atharvaa starrer Kanithan was a smash hit in Kollywood. The Tamil action thriller was penned and helmed by TN Santhosh. The movie marked the directorial debut of TN Santhosh, who was once an assistant to AR Murugadoss.

The movie is an investigative thriller revolves around a reporter, who gets arrested due to a fake degree certificate racket and decides to track down the culprit who had misused his identity, to expose the crime to the society. According to sources, the producer Kalaipuli S Thanu has confirmed a Telugu remake. Thanu also revealed that the Telugu remake rights of the movie have been sold for a hefty sum. Telugu star Ravi Teja will be playing the lead role in the Telugu remake.

The remake will have a big budget and will be made according to the audience of Andhra Pradesh and will also be helmed by Santhosh.  There are talks regarding the movie’s Hindi remake as the makers are planning to approach Arjun Kapoor for it.
