Karthi Goes Clean Shaven For Kaatru Veliyidai

Reports have stated that Oopiri actor Karthi will be seen in a clean-shaven avatar in the upcoming film ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’. The movie, being directed by Mani Ratnam, is a romantic-drama and will star Aditi Rao Hydari as the female lead. In some of the crucial scenes of the film, Karthi will be seen sporting a stubble.

“Karthi is currently shooting in a clean-shaven look. For nearly 60 per cent of the film, he will be seen in this avatar. In some important portions, he will also be seen sporting a stubble”, stated a source close to the film’s unit, adding, “In the Chennai schedule, two songs and some crucial scenes were canned. One of the songs featured a Holi sequence and it was shot at a specially erected set in Binny Mills. Another song featuring Rukmini Vijayakumar was shot in Victoria Hall”.

The music for ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ is being composed by AR Rahman. Mani has written the script as well as produced the project. The cast also includes Delhi Ganesh, Vipin Sharma, RJ Balaji and Rukmini Vijayakumar.
