Actor Kishore has been roped in for a comedy entertainer, titled Vandi. He gained popularity after playing Nandhakumar in Deiva Thirumagal. Vidharth, Chandini, John Vijay and Sreeram have been roped in with Kishore. However, sixty-five per cent of the film has been shot and it is expected that the remaining film will be completed by mid February.

Talking about his character in the film, the 42-year-old actor says, "I play the role of Rafiq, a guy who works at a thattu kadai (road side eatery). I live in a housing board complex with two other people. The movie revolves around our simple life. How small instances change their life forms the crux of the film. It is titled Vandi because the hero of the movie is called Vandi."

Kishore has worked very hard to play the character of thattu kadai guy in the film. He spent a lot of time with thattu kadai guys so that he could observe and understand the nature of their job. "My character will be a lot more funnier than what you saw in Deiva Thirumagal. I must admit that this is one of the most difficult and interesting movie that I have done until now," he said. The film is helmed by Rajeesh Bala.
