Uthara lent her voice in Saivam which deals with the story of a girl's love for her rooster. Talking about her song, Uthara said, "The chance to sing in Saivam came by accident. I sing at golus and music director G V Prakash, who was composing for Saivam, heard me sing. That was how I got the chance." The song was written by Na Muthukumar, who also made it to the National Awards. "Last year, I won for a song in Thanga Meenkal, which was about a father and his daughter. This year, it was a little girl and her rooster. Anyway, I am happy because of all the songs I write these are ones I really enjoy writing," says lyricist Muthukumar.
