    K.S. Ravikumar To Play Vijay Sethupathi’s Father In Rathina Shiva’s Rekka

    Ace filmmaker K.S. Ravikumar, who played the role of Dhanush's father in the 2015 family drama Thanga Magan, will once again reprise the character for an upcoming Tamil film Rekka, which is being helmed by Rathina Shiva. Featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Lakshmi Menon in the lead roles, the flick is touted to be a commercial entertainer. Reportedly, the Lingaa director will play Vijay’s dad in the film.

    The flick’s director revealed, “K.S. Ravikumar plays Vijay Sethupathi's dad and the emotional bonding between these two characters will be one of the highlights of the film”. The filmmaker also stated about Vijay’s role, which is of an advocate who later kidnaps a girl. Rathina added, “He gets caught between the rivalry between two gangsters and the story then moves to Madurai. Vedalam villain Kabir Singh and actor Harish Uthaman play the two warring gangsters”.

    Lakshmi Menon will be sharing the screen space with the Rummy actor for the first time. The movie is expected to go on floors on May 12 in Chennai.
