Lakshmi Menon Loves English Horror Films

Lakshmi Menon will soon be seen in the first Tamil zombie film Miruthan. She will share screen space with Jayam Ravi in the movie directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan. Lakshmi recently stated, “I have great expectations from Miruthan as this is Tamil cinema’s first zombie film. I will now be a part of Tamil film history. More than playing the female lead, I wanted to be a part of that history and that’s why I agreed to do this role”.

The actress also opened about the film and said, “This film is about a journey. I play a doctor, whose character is well written in the script. Seven characters play important roles and all the others are zombies. Strangely, there is also romance in this film.”

Lakshmi revealed that she had a crush on co-star Jayam Ravi when the film M Kumaran, Son of Mahalakshmi was released. “To be honest, I had a crush on Jayam Ravi when M Kumaran, Son of Mahalakshmi (2004) hit screens. I was in school then. I liked that role so much that I decided if I ever had a boyfriend, I would look for a person with such qualities. After entering the film industry, and now working with him, that crush has turned into admiration”, she added.
