Lavanya Tripathi To Play Female Lead In Tamil Remake Of ‘100% Love’

Tamil remake of Telugu movie ‘100% Love’ has been in the news for quite some time now. The film which was directed by Sukumar starred Naga Chaitanya and Tamannaah in the lead roles. While GV Prakash Kumar was finalised as the male lead in the remake titled ‘100% Kadhal’, rumours were doing the rounds that actress Hebah Patel would be playing the female lead.

And now we have heard that not Hebah but Lavanya Tripathi would be playing the female lead in the remake. About choosing Lavanya, MM Chandramouli, the director said, "We wanted someone who looks like Tamannaah did in 2011, when the original came out. We found Lavanya to be ideal — she has that vivacious personality and also complements the hero."

Both the leads will be playing students. Lavanya has started fitness regime to shed weight for her role of a student. "The two leads are students and she starts to have a crush on him. Since he is an intelligent guy, to win him over, she competes against him in class and manages to become the topper. This sparks off a contest between them and that leads to drama," says Chandramouli. Apart from these two actors, the flick will also feature Nasser, Livingston, Ambika and comedians Yogi Babu and Sathish.
