    The veteran playback singer Dr. P. B. Sreenivas, who had lent his voice to Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Tulu films, passed away on April 14 at the age of 82 at his Chennai residence. After suffering from a prolonged illness, the ace singer met his sad demise with a heart attack.

    A family member mourned,"He was not keeping well for the last few days. He had difficulty in breathing. He passed away at his residence in Saidapet.” Known as the voice of superstar Dr. Rajkumar, he started his singing career in 1952 with the Hindi movieMr. Sampath. Thereafter he went on crooning for thousands of numbers inTamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
