Lyca Productions Does Not Possess Theatrical Rights Of Dhanush's ‘Kodi’

Few days back it was reported that Lyca Productions, who are bankrolling Rajinikanth’s mega budgeted film ‘2.0’, have acquired the Tamil Nadu theatrical distribution rights of Dhanush’s upcoming film ‘Kodi’. However, the production house cleared that they don’t possess the theatrical rights of the film. Lyca is not linked with the film said a representative.

The representative thrashed the reports and said, “We are not associated with 'Kodi'. Contrary to reports, we haven't bagged its theatrical rights. Any news regarding the collaboration is just a rumour".

He added that Lyca Productions is currently associated with 5 projects. He said, "Our forthcoming releases are 'Vetrivel', 'Ennaku Innoru Peru Irukku', 'Yaman', yet-untitled Kamal Haasan project with director Rajeev Kumar and filmmaker Shankar's magnum opus '2.o'". No statement was made by the team of ‘Kodi’. Reportedly, the shoot of the flick was wrapped up few days back. Sources claim that it will hit the theater screens on July 6.
