Maari 2 Trailer is Here And Dhanush is Back As The Gangster We Know And Love!

Maari 2 is one of the most anticipated movies of the year, a sequel to 2015 hit movie Maari and luckily for us, we finally got to see the trailer today. In Maari we saw Dhanush play a lovable and funny gangster in Chennai. Maari 2 continuous Maari's story in a different town.

The Trailer stars with us learning the Maari has been missing for 8 years and the police have not been able to find any trace of him. Newly appointed Joint Secretary of State - Dept. Of Law & Judiciary Vijaya played by Varalaxmi Sarathkumar orders the case to be opened and Maari found.

We catch a glimpse of the villain Beeja a.k.a Thanathos played by Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas, Beeja has been described as intelligent and extremely violent.

Maari final makes his entry and is extremely pleasing and stylish intro scene, its good to know that even after 8 years Maari is still Mass.

It appears that Vijaya has finally caught up with Maari and the two engage in some funny banter, it's clear that both actors share good on-screen chemistry.

Maari is seen being his usual self by fully some really funny pranks on the townsfolk and the local rowdies

We get our first look of Maari's love interest in the movie Aarathu Anandh played by Sai Pallavi, Sai Pallavi is known for her role in the super hit Malayalam movie Premam. She plays an auto driver in the film.

Sai Pallavi and Dhanush have amazing chemistry and her character is intelligent and really witty she appears to know exactly what buttons to push and seems to keep him on his toes.

Beeja holds up to his reputation and is a complete psychopath who seems himself as death incarnate and is obsessed with killing Maari at any cost. The two men appear to share some history that led to Beeja's obsession with Maari. 

Psychopath or not Maari seems unfazed by Beeja and sees him like another bug that needs to be squashed, however, will that be as easy as Maari seems to believe remains to be seen.

The Action in Maari 2 seems to as good if not better than the first part, and as always Dhanush's action scenes are spectacular to watch.

The Trailer ends with a shirtless and bleeding Dhanush in a hall of mirrors, it looks a homage to the classic fight in Bruce Lee's action masterpiece Enter the Dragon.
