Madhan To Direct Film On Technology Woes

Veteran actor Dr Rajasekhar’s nephew Madhan is all set to venture into the film industry with upcoming movie, ‘88’. Not only he will don the greasepaint but he will also wield the megaphone for the film. The movie is said to touch upon the impact and ill-effects of tech advancements.

“I have worked with many filmmakers besides my uncle”, Madhan stated, adding, “Since I am passionate about acting, I made my debut in a Telugu movie. When I finalised the script for 88, a film that talks about the menace of today’s technological advancement — with focus on the videos shared on mobile phones — I wanted to give a shot at direction as well. There’s a huge message in the movie”.

Touching upon the flick’s title, Madhan stated, “My mobile number in the film ends with ‘88’”. The flick stars Bengaluru model and former Miss India Asia, Upasana Roy Choudhary, as the female lead. Talking about her role, Upasana said, “The script of the film was amazing and my role is an interesting one. Madhan sir knows what he wants and extracts the best from all. I think this is the right launch pad for me”.

The music for the film will be composed by Hemachandra. Chaams, V. Jayaprakash, Meera Krishnan, Daniel Balaji will also be seen playing significant roles in the movie.
