Madras HC Dismisses 'Si3' Producer's Petition Against Online Singam 3 Release

An illegal torrent download site had rolled out a challenging announcement on Facebook that Singam 3 will be live streamed at 11 am on the day of its release. After hearing this announcement, the producer of S-3, K E Gnanavelraja became furious and filed a writ petition in the Madras high court. Gnanavelraja filed a plea in the court to restrict the diverse agencies of the state and central governments, Internet Service Providers Association of India (ISPAI) and its members including Bharti Airtel from engaging into activities like online piracy and copyright infringement.

However, the Madras high court has rejected the plea pertaining to the restriction of the online release of Tamil film S-3 within the country and overseas. Justice T.Raja rejected the petition citing that the petition does not deserve a hearing. However, the judge highlighted that it is a civil suit matter and a writ petition cannot be entertained, and hence the petition was withdrawn.

Actor Suriya's 'Si3' is slated to release this Thursday, February 9. However, fans are ardent to witness the magic of the actor in the film. Desimartini wishes that the film sails smooth at the box office.
