Madras High Court Takes Up Vishal’s Appeal

Madras High Court Takes Up Vishal’s Appeal

In a relief to Marudhu actor, Madras High Court has accepted an appeal from Vishal, which requested to assess an order of a single judge, upholding the resolution passed by the Tamil Film Producers Council. As per the resolution, the actor was suspended for three months for his alleged remarks against functioning of TFPC. Now, this will give Vishal another opportunity to get his case heard.

The division bench said, “At this stage, senior counsel for Tamil Film Producers executive committee and counsel for TFPC would like to obtain some instructions as to whether they would like to invite an order or compromise the matter. List on February 3”.

Interestingly, at first place, Vishal had already clarified that during his interview to the Tamil magazine, he never meant any personal comment and had no intention to hurt anyone. Moreover, he added that TFPC had been trying to victimize him for a long time.
