Malayalam Director Hafiz To Release Tamil Flick, Kombay

Making strong movies, such as Koratty Pattanam Railway Gate, the Malayalam director Hafiz Ishmail, is all set to launch himself in Kollywood. His next flick will be based on real life incidents, and is titled Kombay. The reason behind this movie name is that it’s based on a village with same name in Madurai, Chennai.

Hafiz has signed Charles as lead actor in the flick. The star can be remembered as character artiste, in various flicks, whereas for female lead, the filmmaker has signed Theertha. Talking about the storyline, the flick is based on a brutal gangster, Vetri, who could go to any extent for money, which include killing people.  

“How it differs from the films of similar genre is that it has a strong content and I have attempted a fresh approach in narration. And moreover, I feel editing is an important aspect where you can correct a lot of things”, said Hafiz. He further revealed that he is done with the editing part of Kombay, in addition he has done cinematography and played antagonist as well.
