Mani Ratnam Asks Karthi To Slim Down For Their Next

Veteran director-producer Mani Ratnam’s next has garnered lot of attention in the recent past. First it was reported that the film will be a multi starrer and will feature Nani and Karthi in the lead roles. Then it was reported that the film won’t be a multi starrer and will only have Karthi as the male lead. Now, the actor has revealed that the director has asked him to do something difficult for his role in the film.

The Komban actor revealed that Mani Ratnam has asked him to lose the extra kilos for his role in the flick. Karthi has worked with the director as an assistant director in ‘Ayitha Ezhuthu’. This is the first time that the two are collaborating.

 Reportedly, Mani Ratnam is planning to start the venture from June. Till then the actor would have wrapped up his supernatural horror film ‘Kaashmora’. Sai Pallavi plays female lead in Karthi’s yet-to-be titled venture.
