Starring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles, ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ is scheduled to be released in March 2017. Director Mani Ratnam has wielded the megaphone for the upcoming romantic thriller. Earlier, it has been reported that some parts of the movie will be shot in a European nation.

As Mani Ratnam rarely shoots his films in a foreign locale, the reason for shooting ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ in Europe has been revealed now. As reported by IndiaGlitz, a reliable source has informed that the team members of the movie will be flying to Serbia for an action sequence in an aircraft. Reportedly, the Indian authorities denied giving permission for filming a fight sequence in an aircraft.

It was for this reason the makers had to choose a foreign location for the shoot. According to reports, this will be the last leg of shooting of the flick and will last for around 10 days. Ace musician A.R. Rahman has rendered the music score for the movie.
