    Manikandan's Kaaka Muttai Bags Title Of Best Tamil Film At Filmfare

    Kaaka Muttai, the directorial venture of filmmaker M.Manikandan, has been awarded as the best film (Tamil) at the 63rd Britannia Filmfare Awards South 2016. The filmfare has recognized the best talent in South Indian cinema. The award was presented at a grand ceremony held in Hyderabad International Convention Centre on June 18.

    The flick received a widespread applause for its story and cast performances. After which, it won many awards across the globe. The movie was produced in a collaboration, under the banners of Wunderbar Films and Grassroot Film Company.

    The plot of the story revolved around the two slum children, whose desire was to taste a pizza. The art piece was a phenomenal and comedy-drama film written, directed and filmed by Manikandan. It also got an award for the best children’s film in 2015.
