Manisha Koirala in talks to pair up opposite Kamal Haasan in Thoonga Vanam

Manisha Koirala might be roped in to play an important role in Kamal Haasan’s Thoonga Vanam. As reported by a source, "Talks are going on with Manisha to play Kamal's wife in the movie. It's a small role. But nothing has been finalised yet". The tentatively-titled action thriller is set to go on the floors later this month.

The duo was last seen together in projects like S. Shankar’s Indian (1996) and Suresh Krishna’s directorial Alavavandhan (2001). Both the films had won National Film Awards, so the expectations from this movie will be high too. The Universal Hero will be seen as a police officer, while
will play a crucial character. The film also features Trisha Krishnan in the lead role sporting the character of a ‘Bond’ girl.

Earlier, the film was titled Ore Iravu but Rajkamal Films International has registered the title Thoonga Vanam with South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce. Kamal's long-time associate Rajesh will helm the project and it is said that the entire story will unravel in a night. The film was earlier planned to be completely shot in Mauritius but due to some logistical issues, the cast and crew will shoot in India.
