    Finally after a delay Dhanush-starrer Maryan has got a U/A certificate by the censor board as there is some violence in the climax of the film. Now the promotions of the film will begin in full swing by producer Ascar Ravichandran and it will hit the cinemas on June 27.

    In the Bharat Bala directed film, Dhanush will be playing a construction fisherman and Parvathi Menon will be his love interest essaying the role of Panimalar. The plot of the film is based in Sudan on a rough landscape. A. R. Rahman has scored Maryan’s background music while Marc Koninckx has done the cinematography. The story is all about the survival of human beings in adverse situations and it is taken from a newspaper article which narrated a real-life crisis incident. The article was about the kidnapping of three Indian oil workers who were kept hostages in Sudan by armed forces.
