    Mohan Raja Talks About Velaikkaran

Director Mohan Raja, who directed the blockbuster Thani Oruvan which released in 2015, returns back to Kollywood with the action thriller film Velaikkaran. The film which stars Sivakarthikeyan, Fahadh Faasil and Nayanthara in the lead roles is releasing today. Raja has tried to impart an important message with the film.

Talking about the movie, Raja said, “I don't believe in directing a film for the sake of money. The film reflects several questions that’s been troubling me over 20 years and I took time to qualify myself to work on it. In a way, Velaikkaran also echoes  questions what people want to ask. It will  address the problems faced by the working class and deal with capitalism. Had I said this in my debut or second film, audiences won’t accept. Thani Oruvan gave me an identity.”

He also said that he couldn’t have made the film without Siva. Praising Nayanthara, he said, “She is a boon to Tamil cinema.” Apart from the above actors, the film also features Robo Shankar, Vijay Vasanth, Prakash Raj and Sneha among others.
