    The Indian poet, lyricist and author, Na. Muthukumar, is dead. The artist is well known for his contribution to the Tamil industry. He passed away at the age of 41. He died today, August 14, in the morning due to jaundice.

    The social media is flooded with condolence messages. Actor-music director G. V. Prakash wrote “Can't believe this! Na Muthukumar is no more... He's written more than 200 songs in my films. A huge loss! May god give strength to his family.” Chinmayi tweeted, “It is a terrible, terrible loss to the industry. Too soon. Na Muthukumar.”

    Actor Siddharth tweeted, “I cannot believe Na Muthukumar is no more. Too young to die. God give his family strength. What a loss! Sad sad day.” Na. Muthukumar had voiced songs for over 1000 movies. He had a splendid career of around 21 years. He received the maximum number of Filmfare Awards for Best Lyricist in Tamil and in fact, was a two-time recipient of the National Film Award for Best Lyrics for his works in ‘Thanga Meenkal’ and ‘Saivam’.
