Nag Ashwin Haven’t Approached Vidya Balan For Savitri Biopic?

It was being speculated that Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has been approached by director Nag Ashwin for his upcoming project. This budding director came under limelight with his short film, ‘Yaadon Ki Baraat’. This film got selected for 'Cannes Short Film Corner'.

Ashwin’s next is touted to be Tamil-Telugu bilingual 'Mahanati' on legendary southern actor Savitri. It was whispered that the director has approached Vidya for playing the lead lady, but Ashwin has cleared all the rumours. He has avowed that he is yet in the pursuit of a lead for his forthcoming venture.

“I haven’t approached any actress yet, let alone Vidya Balan. I still haven’t finalised the script and only after I lock my script, will I be able to approach anyone with the offer. It’s important that we find the most suitable actress. Hence, we don’t want to rush this process,” said Ashwin.

Desimartini hopes that Nag Ashwin will successfully finalise the cast of Savitri Biopic.
