Nasser Speaks About Ajith- Nayantara’s Absence From Nadigar Sangam Election

Nadigar Sangam Election, which took place recently, grabbed a lot of media attention. While the election sought the presence of several people, prominent names from the Kollywood industry has been missing to exercise their power of vote. Senior actor Nasser, who has been appointed as the president of Nadigar Sangam has opened up about the absence of major Kollywood stars.

Nasser said that there were various people who did not come to cast their vote and there is nothing wrong with that as voting wasn’t mandatory. “Mandatory voting system is not in place. Santhanam could not come since he was in Ahmedabad. Likewise, Ajith and Nayanthara could have in unforeseen circumstances”, he said.

Rumours are rife that Ajith has undergone a knee surgery and hence he couldn’t be a part of the elections. Nasser also spoke about Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth’s remarks to change the name of the union. He said that there is nothing wrong with that as it is mere freedom of expression.
