Nayantara Detained At Kuala Lumpur Airport

It is known that the shooting of Iru Mugan is taking place in Malaysia and stars Vikram, Nayantara and Nithya Menen in the lead roles. Actress Nayantara was recently detained at the Malaysian Airport due to some issues with the documents. Because of this detainment, the rumours started building up, stating that the actress was carrying drugs.

An official statement negated these baseless rumours and explained, “Work permit rules in Malaysia are different in the two airport terminals. Usually travellers to India travel through KL1. But, the new airline Malindo operates from KL2. There the immigration officials sought few clarifications regarding her work permit and the visa stamping for her team”.

The Iru Mugan team has filed a complaint with the immigration department as they held them responsible for the pictures of Nayantara’s passport leaking online. Directed by Anand Shankar, the first poster for the film was released in January. Iru Mugan is being produced by Shibu Thameens.
