Not Only Her Rise, Nadigayar Thilagam To Depict Savitri’s Downfall Also

The shooting of the multi-lingual Nadigayar Thilagam, the biopic of legendary actress Savitri, is going on in full swing in Hyderabad. The movie stars actress Keerthy Suresh as Savitri. According to reports, the film will show the actress’ rise in the industry and some important events that took place in her life.

However, now a source has revealed that director Nag Ashwin also plans to show the downfall of Savitri. “The film also shows how Savitri got addicted to liquor and how it spoiled her career. Her last days, where the actress completely lost everything and how she was influenced by her friends will also be shown,” says the source.

 The makers wrapped up Mayabazar episode a few days back and are now shifting to other scenes. The makers are currently shooting with Dulquer Salman who plays Gemini Ganesan, Savitri’s husband. The movie stars Divya Vani and Bhanu Priya as the legendary actress’ mother and aunt respectively. Actor Prakash Raj also stars in a brief role in the film. He plays the role of K.V.  Choudhary, the man who helped Savitri and her uncle reach Chennai.
