OK Kanmani Essence To Be Retained In OK Jaanu

After Mani Ratnam’s OK Kanmani made it big, Bollywood is keen to cash in on the success of the movie by making a Hindi remake, OK Jaanu. The lead character played by Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in the original, will be replaced by Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor. The filmmakers have roped in famous man behind camera, Ravi K. Chandran to turn the flick into another hit.

The cinematographer revealed about the three songs that would be replaced in OK Jaanu, which are Parandhu Sella Vaa, Senamika and Malargal Ketten. “We just have four days of shoot left behind which involves shooting in Ahmedabad and a song sequence. In all we have shot for around 36 days till now”.

He added that as the movie has been made in earlier, it was a bit easy to shoot as emotional content was known with other details too. The team hasn’t deviated from the original approach and has managed to retain the soul intact, said Fanaa cinematographer. Music for the film will be given by A.R. Rahman only and lyrics from Oscar laureate Gulzar.
