Technology is getting advanced day by day and it seems that the South Indian filmmakers are trying to make the most out of it. Vignarajan, the Southern director is using HFR technology to make his next, Ore Nyabagam. HFR means High Frame Rate, where the movie uses frames beyond the normal rate of 24 frames per second and goes up to 48 or 60 frames per second. Though the director also feels that editing the clips shot in HFR is quite a challenge and this technique is pretty expensive also that can shake the budget of a film.

Vignarajan explained, “When you shoot at 48 frames per second, you do not have motion blur, which is common in normal films. This causes less strain on the eyes. Also, you get life-like images when you shoot in HFR.” He added, “It was Balaji Gopal, our digital cinema designer, who first suggested the idea of shooting the film in HFR. Our cinematographer Edwin Sakai, for whom this is his first film, was open to it and we did test shoots under various circumstances. We were happy with the output and decided to go ahead.”
