‘Oru Melliya Kodu’ controversy hits filmmaker Ramesh

Problems don’t seem to end for AMR Ramesh as his upcoming flick ‘Oru Melliya Kodu’ has landed him in thick soup once again. Rumours are rife that the film is based on the life of Sunanda Pushkar, which made politician-turned-actress Khushbu to call the team of the film to inquire about the story. Ramesh did not deny on getting a call from Khushbu but he mentioned that no one has revealed the plot line to her.

"Khushbu did call someone from my team, asking about the subject of the film. She had asked if the film is based on Sunanda's life. I asked my team member, 'Why is she so curious about the film?' and that's when I learnt that she is with the Congress. Apparently, she got a message from someone in Delhi about the rumours regarding the film. But why should I reveal my story to her? Which director or actor talks about their film's storyline beforehand? Even my close associates don't know what the film is about. If Khushbu wants to know, let her call me. All I can say now is that the film is a murder mystery. Manisha is murdered in the film and what follows will be a series of investigations. When the film releases, people will get to know the details. I will not say anything further about my project now", Ramesh shared with TOI.

On the other hand, here is what Khushbu has to say about the same, "I got a call from one of their team members to play the role of Arjun's wife in the film. I wanted to know the storyline for the same. But if some people are interpreting a third angle to this story, then I am not responsible". She later tweeted, "I personally called Arjun n told him tat I stopped doing films long back I am not interested in doing a guest appearance".
