Oscar Winner Resul Pookutty Confirmed For Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’

The first schedule of Rajinikanth’s upcoming film ‘2.0’ was wrapped up few days back. The film is garnered a lot of attention because of its gigantic cast and crew. Now the team of the film has another Oscar winner apart from A.R. Rahman.

According to reports, Resul Pookutty has been confirmed as the sound designer for the S. Shankar directorial. He won the academy award for the Danny Boyle directorial ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. He shared the excitement with his fans and tweeted, ‘Five bottles of water and 4.5 houres of narration of @shankarshanmugh I'm speechless and excited about #endhiran2.0’.

Amy Jackson plays the female lead in the sequel of ‘Enthiran’ and Bollywood action king Akshay Kumar will be playing the lead antagonist in the film. Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan was also linked with the role. He revealed that superstar Rajinikanth suggested him not to play the baddie in the film. He revealed, "Shankar had come to me and he wanted me to play the villain. I called Rajini. He said, 'people will not accept you as a villain, so don't do it'. I said ok".
