Pakka Is Shot Entirely Outdoors

Vikram Prabhu is prepping up for his first comedy film titled Pakka which is directed by SS Surya. The movie will have two actresses, Bindu Madhavi and Nikki Galrani. The director has claimed that the entire movie is shot outdoor as the story takes place with festivals as the backdrop.

In an interview with Deccan Chronicle, the director said, "So far, Tamil audiences would have witnessed thiruvizha (festival) in one song or scene in films. But Pakka is a film, the story of which is entirely happening against the backdrop of festivals. And it is for the first time in the history of Tamil cinema, a full movie has been shot only in exterior (outdoors). There are no interior shots."

He added, “For a particular karagam song, composer Sathya was taken to the actual location of Kallakurichi where a ‘temple festival’ was organised for him to understand the music of real life karagattam players. Yet another festival was shot on a river in Kuttralam comprising 1,000 junior artistes and dancers along with the actors." T.Shivakumar is producing as well as acting in the movie. Soori, Satish, Anandaraj, Singam Puli, Nizhalgal Ravi, Vaiyapuri appear in supporting roles.
