Pandavar Ani Backed By Kamal Haasan

Tamil legend Kamal Haasan has recently announced that he will be backing Pandavar Ani. The association is headed by Vishal and Nasser. Pandavar Ani is a team formed by actors Vishal, Nasser, Karthi, Ponvannan and Karunas.

Vishal stated, “Extremely happy to see the legend (Kamal Haasan) supporting us and the cause we are standing up for”. The team is going against the current leadership of the South India Film Artistes' Association. Kamal Haasan has showed his support for actor Nasser as a candidate for the post of president. He will be standing against president R Sarathkumar. 

The current leaders Sarathkumar and Radha Ravi have been in power for the last three term and were unopposed, but now the Pandavar Ani team has decided that a change in management is required. This was in response to the 2010 agreement with Sathyam Cinemas to lease out the Nadigar Sangam headquarters at T Nagar. The actors grew suspicious of this agreement and the critics have stated that Sangam should develop the property instead of leasing it out.
