A leading production company, Picturehouse Media Ltd., has withdrawn the cheating case filed against Shruti Haasan. The case was filed against the actress after she walked out of one of their untitled projects citing date issues. She was also barred from signing any new film by the court.

It was withdrawn after the intervention of Tamil Film Producers Council (TPFC) and South Indian Film Artists Association (SIAA). According to the 7aum Arivu star’s spokesperson, “Shruti is very thankful for the intervention of SIAA on the matter as the lawyer sided with her cause due to harassment meted out to her. Actress Tamannaah Bhatia has replaced Shruti Haasan in the said project. The cast also includes Akkineni Nagarjuna and Karthi. It is believed to be one of the biggest forthcoming movies of the South Indian film industry. The Vamsi Paidipalli directorial will be released in Tamil and Telugu.
