Political Outfit To File Case Against Y. Gee Mahendra In Wake Of Recent Post On Swathi Murder

Veteran actor Y. Gee Mahendra has found himself in troubled waters after making a controversial statement on the murder of Chennai techie Swathi earlier. The star from Thalaivaa has posted a statement where he questioned that the case was not given enough attention because of the community she belongs from. This upset many organizations, but one in particular, Coimbatore wing of the Manithaneya Makkal Katchi, has decided to file a complaint against the actor for his post.

"We are going to file a defamation case against the actor and take up the issue legally. His post has created unwanted tension among certain sections of the society and is an attempt at bringing a communal divide. We will be filing the case after Eid-ul-Fitr," one of the members said.

However, Gee Mahendra said that he didn’t create the post, but instead shared it on his wall. He added that he doesn’t even have a Tamil font with him. The star has even apologised for sharing the alleged post on the same social networking platform.
