Pongal release looks unlikely for Shankar’s ‘I’

Iconic filmmaker Shankar’s ‘I’ which was earlier tipped to be a big pongal release has apparently gone under a little trouble and will now hit the screens a few days later. The movie that is extremely high on budget, magnum and celluloid, will release on an undecided date after Pongal. While the Vikram starrer film releases in five different languages, the dubbing is taking a lot of time to wrap up.

‘I’ will most likely be complete when all the technicalities regarding the film are met. "The makers are spending a lot of time on the special effects and getting the film dubbed in multiple languages. This might push the release date further by a few weeks. Shankar sir is a perfectionist, so he prefers taking his time to produce a satisfying product," said a source from the film's unit. Shankar’s much ambitious project that also stars Amy Jackson and Upen Patel is reportedly made on a budget of 100 crores and will break a lot of boundaries.
