Poorna Opens Up About Her Role In ‘Ammayi’

Poorna is gearing up for the release of two of her upcoming films. While ‘Savarakathi’ will be released either this month or next month, the release date of ‘Manal Kayiru 2’ is yet to be announced. Reportedly, she is now busy shooting for her next film ‘Ammayi’.

According to reports, the Thagaraaru actress recently wrapped up the first schedule of the flick. In an interaction with a leading daily, she opened up about her role in the film. She said, "I play a naughty village girl who plays Vinay's wife in Ammayi. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will be seen in the title role. Somehow, I'm getting various offers for horror films these days. But, in reality, I'm scared of spooky films”.

The actress also cleared that she is not playing the ghost in the film. She added that she will soon be joining the crew again and the team is now planning to film some portions in rural areas. ‘Ammayi’ is being helmed by G. Shankar and Ilaiyaraaja will score the music for the film.
