Prabhu Deva To Helm A Tamil Movie After 6 Years

Be it acting, dancing, producing and directing, Prabhu Deva is a jack of all trades. After giving several successful films in Bollywood, the multi faceted personality is making a directorial comeback in Tamil cinema after 6 years. He will be directing a Tamil film titled Karuppu Raja Vellai Raja which will feature Vishal and Karthi in the lead. His last movie in Tamil as a director was Vedi which was huge commercial success at the box office.

During the formal launch of the film, the all rounder said, “Karuppu Raja Vellai Raja is not about the colour, but a war between ahimsa (non-violence) and violence.” Besides Vishal and Karthi, actress Sayyeshaa will also be seen in pivotal role in the movie. Currently, the actress is gearing for the release of her debut Tamil movie, Vanamagan. Sayyeshaa adds, “The first time I met Prabhudheva sir was when he choreographed my song. It was like a dream come true! And now, it is all the more so amazing being part of his directorial venture.”

Though it is a first movie of Karthi with Prabhu Deva, Vishal has earlier worked with him in Vedi. About working with Prabhu Deva, the Marudhu actor said, “This is my second with Prabhudheva — he knows how to get the best out of me. It’s about two friends with contrasting characters — like Sholay, not in terms of content, but because of its high-entertaining quotient.”
