Vijay’s upcoming magnum opus ‘Puli’, which is being seen as the successor of ‘Baahubali’, is set to release on October 1. The film will be released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi worldwide. The Chimbu Deven directorial will lock horns at the box office with Prabhu Deva’s ‘Singh Is Bling’, starring Akshay Kumar.

Both the films will release around Gandhi Jayanti and both the films have big stars in the lead. Producer Pahlaj Nihalani bagged in the all-India distributions rights for the Tamil fantasy adventure last week. He said, “I am confident Puli has the potential to be a major all-India success. We’ve dubbed the original Tamil film into Telugu and Hindi and now all three versions of Puli will open worldwide on October 1”.

The Prabhu Deva directorial will release just a day after ‘Puli’ on October 2. ‘Talvar’, a real-life thriller, starring Irrfan Khan will also release on the same date. Interestingly, Ilayathalapathy Vijay is a close friend of Prabhu Deva, and he also did a cameo in his film ‘Rowdy Rathore’. Now it is to be seen whether one of them decides to postpone their film or not.
