Raashi Khanna To Make Her Tamil Debut With 'Imaikkaa Nodigal'

Actress Raashi Khanna has predominantly served in the Telugu film industry and has worked in a few Hindi films as well. She is all set to step into Malayalam film industry with B. Unnikrishnan’s ‘Villain’. The latest we hear about the actress is that she will also make her Tamil debut soon.

R. Ajay Gnanamuthu’s upcoming crime thriller ‘Imaikkaa Nodigal' will mark Raashi’s entry in Kollywood. Touching up on her role in the flick, Raashi stated, “A small portion of the shoot is yet to be completed, and I am really looking forward to it. Be it the team or script, everything about Imaikkaa Nodigal is special to me. The script is nothing like what I have done before. Moreover, working with stalwarts like Nayanthara, Anurag Kashyap and Atharvaa is a chance I did not want to miss out on”.

“My character, just like the others in the film will bear strong presence and appeal to everyone who watches it. Apart from the thrill, the romance in the film is integral and very well written”, the actress added. Comparing Tamil and Telugu film industries, Raashi said, “People here are just as passionate as the people there. The one thing I love about Kollywood is that here filmmakers are more experimental and the audience is welcoming of it too”.

On a related note, the film will star Nayanthara as the protagonist and Anurag Kashyap. Bankrolled by C. J. Jayakumar of Cameo Films India, the movie will also feature Atharvaa in supporting role.
