Rajan Madhav Talks About His Next Directorial

Moviemaker Rajan Madhav made his directorial debut with Muran, which starred Kollywood stars Prasanna and Cheran in the lead roles. The director unknowingly went low key after his first directorial. The director is back in the scene after almost six years.

Now, Rajan will be working on his next directorial titled as ‘Kattam’. The movie will be a crime thriller starring Newcomer Nandhan, Nivas Adithan and Shivada Nair in the leading roles. The movie is bankrolled by the director’s wife, Sandhya Jana. Regarding the movie, the director is quoted as saying, “Kattam is a crime thriller with a social message”.

The director further added, “The plot revolves around four characters (played by Nandhan, Nivas, Shivada and a clown) get locked up in a building. How they get out of it forms the story. We have wrapped up the film and it was primarily shot in and around Chennai”. On being asked about the meaning of the title, Rajan was quoted as saying, “The word Kattam (grid in English) has four edges and that’s the reason I’ve written the script with four characters”.
