Rajapandi and Vijay Vasanth to work together again

Filmmaker Rajapandi and actor Vijay Vasanth worked together for Ennamo Nadakkuthu. Ennamo Nadakkudhu is a story of a young man who gets trapped between two influential people of society. The movie released in April 25 and received positive response. And now the hit pair is back with their next venture titled Sikandi.

Apparently, the name Sikandi comes from Shikhandi, a character in Mahabharata. Shikhandini was Drupada’s daughter, who later on transformed into a male named Shikhandi. However, the movie has nothing to do with Mahabharata. In fact, it is a story revolving around a widespread crime. Raja Pandi tells us, "Sikandi is a character in the Mahabharata, who was used by Arjun to defeat and kill Bhishma in the Kurukshetra war. My film is not based on this epic, but the two lead characters possess traits similar to Sikandi and Arjun." The director has not finalized the cast yet. "I'm finishing work on the script. I'm also in talks with a few big names to be a part of the film. We are hoping to go on floors by the end of August," he informs.
