Rajini Murugan Tax Exempted

The censor board has granted the recently released Sivakarthikeyan starrer, Rajini Murugan, a U certificate. This comes as great news for the filmmakers as the U certificate will now exempt them the 30% Entertainment Tax that has been imposed by the Tamil Nadu State Government. The movie will be releasing alongside three other big movies.

The tax exemption means that the producers, distributors and the exhibitors will not have to take out 30 percent from their earnings as tax. Rajini Murugan faced several financial issues that the producers had to deal with, in order to release the film. It has been produced by Thirrupathi Brothers.

Directed by Ponram, the cast for Rajini Murugan includes Keerthy Suresh as the female lead, Rajkiran, Samuthirakani and Gnanasambandam. D.Imman is responsible for the music of the film. The cinematography has been handled by Balasubramaniem. The movie has been released in 800 screens around the globe.
